C2C-NewCap is a Portuguese company that develops and manufactures electric energy storage solutions based on supercapacitors. 

We are looking for a researcher/technical engineer (PhD or 5+ years of experience) to join our team in a cutting-edge innovation project aiming to develop a disruptive supercapacitor technology to replace electrolytic capacitors in high-temperature applications.


Required skills:

  • PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or similar (equivalent working experience may also be considered) 
  • More than 5 years of experience in R&D/chemistry laboratory environment in electrochemistry area (preferable)
  • Experience preferably in electrochemistry or energy storage, or similar (corrosion or catalysis). Ideally, the candidate should have experience with EIS. 
  • Coordination of small teams and project management skills
  • Curious, disciplined, flexible
  • Innovation-focused
  • Team player
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Portuguese and English proficiency


What will you do:

  • Lead the development team and coordinate the project activities according to the work plan
  • Fulfill the reporting requirements of the project
  • Design of electrochemical tests set-up and protocols
  • Work independently in a cross-functional team
